Yes Man (2008) is a comedy directed by Peyton Reed based on the book by Danny Wallace about Carl (Jim Carrey), a curmudgeonly bank loan officer who refrains from meaningfully interacting with other people until he attends a seminar run by Terrence Bundley (Terence Stamp) that teaches him to embrace new opportunities.

You regret the things you haven’t done, not the things you have done.
Movie Scene:
Terrence: I want you to invite yes into your lives because it will RSVP ‘yes.’ When you say yes to things, you embrace the possible.

The movie highlights Carl saying “yes” to some risky, dangerous and depraved actions. However, embracing new experiences does not equate to putting yourself or others in harm’s way. Living life carries some risks, but there are plenty of things you can do to enjoy life that do not require a helmet or other protective gear, e.g. going to the beach, going out dancing, learning a new skill. To be fair, Carl also says “yes” to a number of minimally risky activities, e.g. learning to play the guitar, planning a party etc. But the movie seems to associate high-risk activities with saying “yes”, which is not true. You can say “yes” to tons of things that are low-risk.
